Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Oven temperature should be at 180 degrees Celsius 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare the Filling: The olive oil into the frying pan over medium heat. After which add the onion and garlic to fry till they start melting down.
Cook the Meat: Ground beef needs to be added in a pan and cooked till browned. Dispose of overspill fat.
Add the Vegetables and Seasoning: Toss in the chopped red bell pepper, paprika, dried oregano, cumin, and also season with salt and pepper. Let it cook for another 5 minutes or so until the vegetables are soft.
Prepare the Filling Mixture: Take the skillet off the flame. Beat in cream cheese into the beef mixture till it melts and fuses.
Arrange the Pie: Stretch the pie crust and place it into a pie plate. Add beef and vegetables in the crust.
Apply the Cheese: Top the beef mixture with grated cheddar cheese.
Put Together the Egg Mixture: Crack two eggs and place them in base of bowl, add enough milk to fill the bowl. Then add this to the top of the pie so that it gets into the filling.
Baking: After 25-30 minutes or until the pie is deep golden on top, and the filling has set, remove from the oven in which you have left the pie.
As to Decoration And Dish Serving: Wait for about a few minutes and then garnish the pie with chopped parsley. Cut the pie into slices and serve warm.
Hints for Success:
Pre Baking of the Surface: Important for those who wish the lower part of the pie to be crisper. It is suggested to pre-bake the surface for 10 minutes before filling the pie.
Variations in Cheese: Use your choice of a few cheeses such as mozzarella, gouda, blue cheese etc. for this dish.
Variation in Veggies: Replace or add more vegetables such as mushroom, spinach, or zucchini for a different taste.
