Baked Char Siu

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) pork shoulder or pork loin, thinly sliced or cut into strips

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine or dry sherry

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon five-spice powder

1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper

1/2 teaspoon red food coloring (optional, for traditional color)

Sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)

Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
