As mentioned before, besides making sure the gas bottle is full, it is important to also check that your burners are clean. When we talk about cleanliness, we are not just referring to keeping the stove and grills clean, but also to the burners and nozzles, which is very important.

These are the parts where the gas comes out. Then, the spark ignites the fuel, creating a flame that enables cooking. If these get blocked with kitchen grease, they won’t work well and could make you lose gas.

It’s not hard to clean them. First, you need to take out the metal grids and the gas burners. Some models don’t come with nozzles installed. In this situation, you will need a screwdriver to remove and clean the nozzle properly. Once you have everything ready, just grab a lemon.
Cut a lemon in two. Remove any seeds inside and then put a few drops on the nozzle. It can be one drop or more if the burner is bigger. Let it sit for a few minutes, then use a very thin needle to insert it into the tip.

As you can see, the nozzle is now much clearer, and you can also repeat the process. Afterwards, take a tissue and wipe away the extra lemon. You might notice your tissue getting dirty because the lemon can also remove built-up grease.
Now you can reassemble everything and make sure that everything is functioning correctly. This way, the fire will improve and be easier to control. Now you just need to see if the gas tank will be enough for another four months. All you need to do is make an effort and have faith in it.
