Place two cups of sugar and one and a half cups of water in a saucepan or milk jug. Mix well. Place over high heat and bring to a boil. When it starts to boil, count two minutes then turn off the heat.
Pour the water and sugar mixture into the blender and add the two cups of powdered milk.
Beat for three minutes until smooth. Transfer the condensed milk to a container and let it cool.
Once cooled, place it in the refrigerator for a few hours so that it acquires the ideal consistency.
Bonus Tip
When homemade condensed milk is in the fridge, it’s normal for a little foam to form on top. If you prefer, you can remove this foam with a spoon, but it’s not necessary.
It doesn’t affect the taste or consistency of the condensed milk. And if you only want to make one can of condensed milk, simply reduce the quantities by half!
