1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt for at least 1 hour.
2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until golden brown.
3. Add turmeric, garam masala, chili powder, cumin, and coriander. Stir well.
4. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
5. Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
